• Creativity is a key to innovation and I believe every student in UDS knows this. Innovation is that which makes life more comfortable and easy to live. We need to be creative if we want to be winners. Can reading, I mean a lot of books make one creative? Of course it can. For everyone is born to be innovative. But what remains is how to nurture and master creativity for a bigger success. In this post, you will learn with me why reading a lot makes you more creative.

Wait a minute!  What then is creativity?

• Creativity is the process of turning new and imaginative ideas into a reality.

• Creativity is the ability to generate new ideas and create new connection between ideas and ways to solve a problem in any field or realm of life.

• Creativity is the ability to think and find new,improved ways to do anything.

• The ability to use your imagination to produce new ideas or things not necessarily new but a modification is creativity.

• Any time you solve a problem, you are being creative.

Reading boost your imagination

From the above definitions, you can understand that a sound imagination leads to creativity. Whereas ideas are products of a sound thinking. When you read a book especially fictions,you make good use of your imaginations when you figure out the meaning of words you encounter,when you fantasize,create mental images in your mind eyes and determining what happens next as the story rolls on.Imagination simply put, is the form new images and sensation s in the mind that are not perceived through the senses such as sight,hearing or others.Read more. As you read good novels which have great level of suspense, you have no option than to think and fantasize to determine what will happen next. This allows you to form mental images in your mind using your faculty of imagination. Fictional books are all imagery and they allow  readers to put themselves in the shoes of the characters especially the protagonist. Main characters by nature are expected to meet challenges and their goal is to overcome. As you read on, you find yourself thinking out possible ways to solve the problem your character is facing. This exercise however makes you use you imaginative skills as you solve the problem together with the characters. Imagination is a pathway to creativity and the reading of books  help you imaginative skills--the product of all the businesses you can think of .

Reading strengthens the brain muscle that aid in easy recalling. Every creative person has a warehouse of information from which ideas are sourced. Avid readers make their brains to create new pathways that enable them remember things easily. Creativity is generally, your ability to link an ideas to the other forming a network. Reading on other hand, allows you to retain information from which ideas emancipate. Most readers in UDS are expose to creative ideas

Books are a window to the world--a glimpse into culture past, present and future. A conversation with superior minds. Creative ideas can be liken to an isolated island existing on its own. Ready to be connected to the other world. Reading also is like a group of an adventurous people that bear the risk of losing their lives in a shipwreck. But sailed down the island and connected them to the world at large. What am I incinerating here?  I simply want to mean that, the reading of books give the opportunity to probe more into the life of others,even the chance to stumble upon great ideas that need  magic touches and the free gift to discover how others made. The more you read, the more you gain an exposure to tips that will make you think creatively.  For instance, I was able to generate 10 solid business ideas (though it was my first trial). It happened so because of a technique a book taught me on how to generate business ideas. In this sense, I was being creative as I busied my mind with generating innovative ideas.No matter the course you are pursuing in UDS, reading should something you must love.

Greater concentration and focus gain through Reading students creative

 You may be asking; what has creativity got to with concentration and focus? You may be right though but here, your ability to think of new, improved ways of doing things is strongly connected to focus and concentration. Reading of books is such that, it makes you stay calm,cool and peaceful. And in the long run, reducing stress, clearing trash and paving way for clear thinking.The fact is, the 'busy bodies'- people who don't permit themselves to sit down with a book to think and imagine ideas in their minds are also less creative. But reading does the exact opposite of this. For when you sit down with a good literature, you calm some nerves, relaxes and being cut off from all external distractions, what remains is you, the book and your imagination. The countless thoughts that are cooked up, need  significant amount of concentration and focus to turned into a reality. A study conducted proves that reading improves ones concentration and focus. A better concentration and focus,leads to a clear thinking and a clear thoughts in turn produce creative ideas .

 Students in UDS who reads a lot have broader knowledge base

 No one who is deemed to be creative in a certain field of endeavor lacks the competitive knowledge of that field even as you study here in uds, you need creativity to excel in your course.  Creativity always spring from a reservoir of knowledge and intellectual powers. Every piece of literature that you assimilate by means of reading, fills you with new tips and trick in doing things. Creative men are those that are able to pick everyday ideas and give them a magic touch.  Reading shows you exactly how to do that. Because the more you read, the greater you enlarge your knowledge deposits. And the more you knowledge base expands, the better you become in solving problems.
