Ask any student of University For Development Studies today, and he or she will tell you that to get first class is as difficult as drying up the sea and causing the fishes thereof to fly.They will give 101 reasons why you can't get first class. It was the same news I heard when I first reported on UDS Wa campus , I was bombarded with kinds of reasons why first class is impossible. After some research and re-orientation, I discovered that it is really simple to obtain upper class in any courses you are pursuing in this University .
This article contain tips and tricks that will empower you to believe that obtaining first class in University For Development Studies is easy as taking porridge.
The first thing you must do is to reprogramme your mind.
I always put emphasis on what your mind is capable of doing. The human mind is what determine whether one will win or loss, become poor or successful, score lower marks or score higher marks. I mean that, it is your mind that determines exactly what happens in your life. The good news is that you have 100% control over what happens in your life. This is because whatever you think about most with your mind is what you will get.
The mind is like a computer, it accept input, process it and produce the results. Whatever you feed your mind is what it will produce. If you feed your mind with 101 reasons why obtaining first class in UDS is impossible , definitely, the results will be that you can't get it.
Whenever you think and believe something is possible, the magic thing that happens is that your mind thinks of possible ways to achieve just that. The simple thing you should do now is to remove junks and can't do thinking from your mind and believe first class is possible.

You must set some goals to serve as a road map. Imagine you're going to an entirely, a new place without any map or directions . Tell me when do you think you could locate it. You will need a road map to guide your activities on campus so that you do waste your precious time on unnecessary stuffs.
A clear and specific timetable will be necessary. It is of much significance that you draw out a study timetable detailing out subjects and their specific time to study them. You will need a study goal to help you study well. It could be reading a certain subject for one hour everyday.
You need some self discipline
Those smart goals you will set for yourself will never be achieved if you lack the ability to stay focused and train yourself to accomplish those goals by hook or crook.
Self discipline is an individual's ability to train and control his or her behaviours in order to do what is expected of him or her.
After you've determined that you can really get first class, and you've take the steps forward to draw plans in achieving that, you will need to control certain behaviours of yours that is not in favour with your set goals.

Obtaining first class honour in UDS is not really difficult as many students believed to be. With the burning desire to get first class, with smart goals, and with needed self discipline coupled with a bit of serious learning is just what you need. Isn't this so simple and easy?
A bit of serious learning doesn't means sitting by your books 24 hours a days. It doesn't means neglecting friends. It does not also means doing shabby studying.
It may include learning enough such that you yourself is convinced that such amount of study can actually fetch you an A..
In fact, one of the most common reasons why many students fail to acquire first class degree honour in their respective courses is that, they have over the years convinced themselves that you need to learn and learn like never before............be a book worm before you can become a first class student. But this is a misconception.

I simply want to mean that in your quest for first class, please don't forget your God. Commit unto Him every single actions of yours. Put your hope and trust in His strength . Don't rely on your own understanding. Believe and accept that God has made you to win and He is watching the exact day you'll affirm what He says.
Finally, I would want to conclude by saying that I per say, I have purposed and determined in my heart and mind that the very thing they call first class honour is easy and simple to obtain. I do not know about you but I am fully convinced that if you will also purpose in your mind today that you can and will acquire first class honour on the campus UDS, then you can and you will.
