Aside this , there are other typing software programs that you can get and install. You can at least practice for 15 minutes a day. I hope you believe in the saying 'practice makes man perfect'.  Even as you watch movies with your laptop, you can equally learn typing in the same line. You try it and see, you will be amazed at how good you'll become at typing.

Many  of the  assignment and project works given by Lecturers require that you either work with  Ms Word or Power Point presentation. Therefore, having a bit of understanding on Ms office will help.
